The Pappas Gallery is located on the second floor of Lister Hill Library. The second floor can be accessed from the entryway elevator on the Ground or 1st Floor of the building. Non-UAB affiliates will need to use the video intercom located to the right of the doors to gain access to the building.
ADA Accessible Entrance
Enter the building from University Blvd. Use the video intercom on the right side of the Ground Floor doors and take the elevator to the 1st Floor. To the right of the elevators, use the video intercom again. Proceed to the HUB Desk, where staff will guide you to the accessible elevator route to the Gallery.

The Gallery will close on UAB designated holidays and inclement weather days.
Admission
The Pappas Gallery is always free and open to the public.
Parking
The 14th St Parking Deck on the corner of 7th Ave S and14th St S beyond the UAB Hill Center is the available for visitor parking. There is a fee to park in this deck.
Accessible parking is currently unavailable for Lister Hill Library due to construction. Upon completion of this project in Spring 2025, there is a metered accessible parking spot available directly in front of the building on University Boulevard.
Otherwise, there are metered parking spots throughout campus.
Guided and Group Tours
The exhibitions are designed to be self-guided. However, our Museum Guides are more than happy to give an impromptu highlights tour of the gallery upon request for small groups of walk-in visitors of 5 or less.
Groups larger than 5 that would like to book a guided tour, please contact the Curator of the Alabama Museum of the Health Sciences, Christina McClellan, at mcclelcm@uab.edu.
Group guided tours are free and open to the public, but must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. Tours are subject to availability of staff.
High School tours and other groups with buses or special requests must provide minimum 4 weeks notice.
Our full guided tours vary in length and are highly interactive experiences.
