The mission of the UAB Libraries Office of Scholarly Communication (OSC) is to support the UAB community in navigating and understanding scholarly communication principles including copyright and fair use, author agreements, research data management, scholarly impact, and public access to scholarly works.

The OSC’s services include:

  • On-demand consultations and workshops on scholarly communication topics
  • Assistance selecting journals and identifying open access funding sources
  • Research Data Management support such as data interviews, Data Management Plan review, and data repository selection
  • Showcase and provide ongoing access to UAB’s research, scholarship, publications, presentations, and creative works
