The experts at UAB Libraries offer a free systematic review service for UAB faculty, residents, fellows, staff, and graduate students. The librarians at LHL regularly serve on systematic review and other advanced evidence syntheses search teams. Since these reviews take a considerable amount of time and often require the librarian's expertise, we provide two levels of service, depending on our role on the project: Consultation and Collaboration.

Notice: We’re taking a short break from new Systematic Review requests!

Between November 1, 2025, and January 12, 2026, the UAB Libraries’ Systematic Review Service will pause accepting new evidence syntheses requests.

During this time our team will focus on current reviews, ongoing projects, and a little rest over the holidays.

You’ll be able to submit new requests again starting January 13, 2026.

Please note: Clinical Faculty, Residents, Fellows, Nurses, and all other clinicians with UAB Medicine may still request literature searches through the Hospital Library’s Clinical Literature Search form.
