UAB supports lactating parents by providing private, dedicated lactation rooms throughout campus for employees, students, and visitors. In partnership with campus building managers, the UAB Commission on the Status of Women’s Lactation Subcommittee works to maintain these spaces.

Location: Women’s restroom, Sterne Library first floor
To access: Visit the first-floor HUB service desk and ask an associate for the door code.

The lactation room provides two cubicles separated by privacy curtains. Each cubicle has a comfortable recliner, a table, and an electrical outlet.
