In our commitment to inclusivity, the DEI Task Force of UAB Libraries commemorates July 1990, when the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) was passed. The ADA website states, “ADA guarantees that people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else to enjoy employment opportunities, purchase goods and services, and participate in state and local government programs.” Additional information for students can be found at both LHL and MHSL HUB desks, including flyers and swag items (while supplies last) for students, faculty, and staff to celebrate this critical legislation.
For more information visit UAB’s Disability Support Services or call 205-934-4205.
