Please join UAB Libraries as we celebrate the newest federal holiday, Juneteenth.
Juneteenth is recognized on June 19th to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. Read books on Abraham Lincoln's issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation, as well as literary works by Maya Angelou and Ralph Ellison. Many of these books are currently on display on the first floor of Sterne Library near the HUB, and all are available for check out. We invite you to come, "Check it out!"
