The UAB Libraries are excited to announce the expansion of our document delivery service to the entire UAB campus. The document delivery service allows UAB faculty, staff, and students to request a copy of any journal article or book chapter from the UAB Libraries’ print collections housed in Sterne Library, Lister Hill Library, or the 801 Building.

The requested articles or book chapters will be scanned by the libraries’ interlibrary loan staff and delivered electronically, in most cases within 24 – 48 hours, to the user. To request an article or book chapter, users will submit a normal interlibrary loan request. It’s that simple. There is nothing new to learn or do. This new service complements the libraries’ recent launch of Rapid ILL which electronically delivers articles and book chapters not owned by the UAB Libraries within 12 – 24 hours.
