"Advancing Health Equity as a Human Right" is the topic of the Third Annual Reflection on Civil and Human Rights Lecture to be held on Tuesday, January 23, at 5:00 pm at Mervyn H. Sterne Library Room 174, as part of UAB Community Month 2018. Monica L. Baskin, Ph.D., Professor of Preventive Medicine and Vice Chair for Culture and Diversity in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine will discuss the significance of advancing health equity as a human right contextualized by the Civil Rights Movement in Birmingham, Alabama.
